Exceptional Tourism Experience Leader
As a seasoned Tourism Operations Manager, you will oversee the daily activities of our marine assets in Talbot Bay, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and delivering exceptional experiences for our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure all vessels are maintained to the highest standards, adhering to AMSA Marine Orders and the National Standard for Commercial Vessels (NSCV).
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure the safe operation of marine assets, maintaining high standards of safety and risk management.
* Oversee the production and provision of daily tour plans to enhance the guest experience while optimizing vessel and crew utilization.
* Provide leadership, guidance, and training to pontoon team members, fostering a high-performing team that delivers exceptional service and experiences.
* Manage effective rostering and tracking of team member hours, incorporating fatigue management processes and aligning with business objectives.
* Conduct regular toolbox talks with the team to share relevant information and facilitate open communication.
* Utilize maintenance management systems to maintain accurate records, including logs and reports, for marine assets.
* Promote a strong safety culture on the pontoon, ensuring prompt reporting and investigation of incidents and hazards.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies across pontoon operations.
Requirements:
To succeed in this pivotal role, you must possess:
* A current Master <24m certification issued by AMSA.
* Experience in supervisory roles within the marine tourism or hospitality industry, coupled with sound knowledge of AMSA regulations for Domestic Commercial Vessels.
* Excellent communication skills, prioritization abilities, and a steady working style during times of pressure.
* The capacity to manage multiple tours, activities, staff, and job roles simultaneously.
* Impeccable personal presentation and professionalism, along with a solution-focused 'can-do' attitude.
