As we continue to expand, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial, Property, & Banking Lawyer (3+ years PQE) to join our team.
About the Role
We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a lawyer with solid experience in property law, loan documentation, and commercial transactions. This role will suit a legal professional with a strong grasp of property and finance matters, looking to take ownership of a growing portfolio of both new and returning clients.
You will handle a diverse range of matters across:
* Commercial, industrial, retail, and residential property transactions
* Drafting and advising on loan agreements, security documentation, and finance arrangements
* Conveyancing and complex subdivisions, including off-the-plan developments
* Commercial leasing (retail and general)
* General property advisory work and occasional litigation support (if interested)
You'll work closely with our Principal Lawyer and have access to mentoring and training to further your career development.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage your own caseload of property and loan files end-to-end
* Oversee and support our in-house conveyancer to ensure timely settlements
* Draft and review loan agreements, facility documents, mortgages, guarantees, and related securities
* Liaise directly with clients, brokers, lenders, and other legal practitioners
* Use industry-leading legal software (LEAP, PEXA, InfoTrack) to ensure seamless file management
* Work autonomously while collaborating with a friendly and experienced legal team
Skills & Experience
* Admitted to practice in Australia with a current practising certificate
* Minimum 3 years' post-admission experience in property law, ideally with exposure to loan documentation and secured transactions
* Solid experience preparing and reviewing contracts for sale, loan agreements, security documentation, and leases
* Strong understanding of conveyancing principles, leasing, and property finance
* Confident with complex transactions such as subdivisions and off-the-plan sales
* Proficiency with PEXA, LEAP, InfoTrack, and general IT systems
* Excellent written communication, grammar, and drafting skills
* Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach
* Able to manage competing deadlines and work efficiently
