What To Expect
As an Apprentice Body Repair Painter (Spray Painter), you will be part of a team delivering an impeccable service experience to Tesla Body Repair customers. This hands-on technical role offers you the opportunity to learn from experienced Tesla Body Repair Painters and work with vehicles that are revolutionising the automotive industry.
Throughout this 4-year apprenticeship, you will undergo intensive EV and body repair training designed to provide you with the skills and a nationally recognised qualification for a successful career with Tesla’s Body Shops.
This apprenticeship will equip you with skills to prepare, restore, and finish painted vehicle surfaces, applicable to repairing damaged paintwork or cosmetic enhancements. The training includes practical sessions and assessments in our state-of-the-art Body Shops, complemented by eLearning modules accessible on any device.

What You'll Do
Work as a team to deliver results and achieve daily goals
Complete Tesla-specific training
Develop knowledge of Tesla products, Body Repair Systems, Processes, and Procedures
Ensure workshop is well maintained
Maintain records of time, expenses, and materials
Perform basic body repair paint work under supervision
Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and the Body Repair Centre
What You'll Bring
Year 12 completion or equivalent
Eligibility to attend training through MITO
Valid driver’s license
Fluent English
Interest in electronics and technology
Excellent communication, attention to detail, and time management skills
Ability to learn quickly, work efficiently, and follow instructions
Ability to handle shifting priorities and meet deadlines
Energetic, enthusiastic, and a team player
Proactive, self-aware, flexible, and open-minded
