About the role

As part of WA Health’s early childhood oral health program, you’ll visit local community centres, libraries, and playgroups to provide oral screenings, fluoride applications, and health education for children aged 0-4 years. You won’t be in a dental chair, you’ll be in the heart of the community, helping parents and carers build lifelong healthy habits with their kids.

You’ll always work with a Dental Assistant, travel in pairs and receive full training before your first session.
- Provide screenings, fluoride treatments & oral health education
- Run community sessions (8:00am-1:00/2:00pm) with afternoon tasks available if desired
- Start your day from a Perth hub with a DA and travel to sessions
- Sessions planned in advance and often based on local referrals
- Work with families in diverse, friendly settings – no clinic pressures
Skills & experience
- Registered Oral Health Therapist or Dental Therapist (AHPRA)
- One year minimum experience and experienced clinicians encouraged to apply
- Confident engaging with families, parents, and young children
- Valid Working with Children Check & driver’s licence
- Passion for prevention, education, and community care
