Job Description
MT Farms Position description The role will include: Advise the farm manager or supervisor about crop health, quality, and customer specifications. Advise on nutrient management system and an efficient way of managing it for quacker turn around.
Manage day-to-day operations if necessary. Assess existing production or cultivation process and develop new procedures and techniques to support overall efficient farm management. Continuous work on feasibility for new products/crops, growing methods, and new markets.
Implement and monitor risk assessment for compliance. Frequent visits to the grower fields and provide Agronomic solutions to their problems. Maintain a strong rapport with the growers and build confidence to develop the client base.
Skills and experience The successful applicants will be required to demonstrate the following skills, qualifications, and experience. Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or Agricultural Science or an equivalent related discipline More than 2 years of experience as an Agricultural Consultant or related occupation Deep knowledge in crop protection, including the identification of pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiency symptoms in herbs and Asian vegetables Sound knowledge of agricultural chemicals and ability to navigate through the APVMA website for the appropriate information promptly Ability to learn and apply new skills quickly Excellent written and communication skills with a higher level of attention to details

Location The role is based in Forest Hill, QLD (4342) Somerset & Lockyer, QLD areas and involves frequent visits to the grower field around the Lockyer Valley and Darling Downs Regions. This position is an in-person engagement with an early start every day, along with extensive travelling
