Talent Web is looking to speak with experienced Senior Engineers in Perth for a newly created opportunity with an award-winning international engineering consultancy known for delivering innovative and sustainable solutions across a wide range of complex building projects.
The ideal candidate will be someone who can act as a 2iC, run jobs independently, engage directly with clients and contribute to commercial management.
The role:
- Serve as the second-in-command (2iC) to the Temporary Works Lead for Perth.
- Take ownership of temporary works design and delivery on major infrastructure and buildings projects.
- Lead engagements with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Provide input on commercials – including scoping, fee development, and variations.
- Deliver high-quality solutions in buildings-focused temporary works (falsework, formwork, propping, retention, façade support, etc.).
- Mentor junior and intermediate engineers and contribute to team development.
About you:
- 10+ years of engineering experience, ideally in temporary works or structural design.
- CPEng ideal but not necessary
- Strong background in buildings-focused temporary works (not just bridges or infrastructure).
- Proven ability to run projects, engage clients, and manage technical delivery.
- Strong commercial acumen and confidence in a client-facing role.
- WA project experience is ideal but not essential.
- Based in Perth or open to relocation.
