About the Role
This role will support tax compliance and reporting for the Group as well as providing tax advice and managing regulatory reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the timely and accurate delivery of direct and indirect tax compliance and reporting obligations for the Australian tax group and other group entities in the APAC region.
2. Take responsibility for tax-effect accounting, including the preparation and delivery of tax disclosures in the financial statements.
3. Work closely with internal stakeholders to provide proactive and strategic tax advice and address tax-related queries.
4. Oversee and manage tax regulatory authority reviews, audits, and inquiries.
5. Continuously evaluate and improve the operational effectiveness of the tax governance framework.
Required Skills, Attributes, and Experience
* Comprehensive local tax experience within a Big 4/Mid-Tier chartered firm and/or in a large, complex commercial environment.
* Proven experience in income tax compliance, tax-effect accounting, and providing practical tax advisory services.
* CA, CPA or CTA qualified with relevant experience within a tax-focused role.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of clearly and concisely conveying complex information.
* A self-motivated, high performer with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* Flexibility and willingness to work with international team members.
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
