On 1 July 2025, the QAS transitioned to a Statutory Body, guided by our values and focused on developing fit-for-purpose governance and corporate arrangements that support our vision of Inspiring Extraordinary Sporting Success. Our ambitious high-performance strategy for the 2032 Games is to create more medal-winning moments for Queensland athletes that inspire their state and nation. The QAS provides Movement Science support to Queensland-based Cycling athletes and coaches. This role will provide expert support to the QAS Track Cycling program that includes Track Endurance, Track Sprint and Para Road and Track Cycling disciplines, as well as impactful project support to the AusCycling Action and Acceleration Centre of Excellence. Some of your responsibilities will include:- Provide high-level, evidence-based movement science servicing skills and advice to Cycling coaches and QAS categorised Cycling athletes in line with each athlete's Individual Athlete Performance Plan (IAPP) which is aligned with AusCycling's What It Takes to Win (WITTW) framework. - Support AusCycling coaches and athletes by delivering projects that investigate movement science performance problems and technical development across the athletes within the Action and Acceleration Centre of Excellence. - Work collaboratively with the QAS Movement Science Technical Lead and other Performance Support Team staff to ensure support is targeted and effective. Develop skills to work collaboratively as part of a high-performing team, establishing and maintaining effective partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders to help identify, lead and deliver high quality integrated outcomes. - Collect, store, analyse and share athlete data and vision in the Athlete Management System (AMS) and other approved platforms in line with QAS and AusCycling expectations.
