As a Senior Modeller, you’ll be the powerhouse behind our credit stress testing—helping us predict how our portfolios might perform when the economy throws a curveball. You'll play a key role in analysing data, developing models, and translating complex information into meaningful insights that drive decisions. From deep dives into portfolios to refining our tools and processes, you’ll be right at the heart of it all. You’ll work closely with a sharp, supportive team and collaborate across the business. This is a full-time role based in Sydney, with flexible working options to help you do your best work, your way. What do I need? Advanced technical capability in SAS and data analytics: You’re confident working with large datasets and building complex models. Experience with SQL, R or Python is a plus. Deep understanding of credit risk and financial systems: You bring expertise in credit modelling, IFRS9 provisioning, and stress testing methodologies, with a strong grasp of financial markets and regulatory expectations. Strategic thinking and analytical depth: You can interpret complex results, identify emerging risks, and translate data into insights that support business and risk strategy. Process improvement mindset: You’re proactive in identifying opportunities to enhance modelling tools, streamline processes, and improve the quality and efficiency of stress testing outcomes. Strong stakeholder engagement skills: You communicate clearly and effectively across all levels of the organisation, building trusted relationships and influencing decision-making through data-driven insights.
