Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop pharmacy services across multiple sites, promoting innovation and operational excellence
* Ensure safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication management for patients
* Foster a culture of research, education, and continuous quality improvement
* Collaborate with medical, nursing, and administrative leaders to support multidisciplinary care
* Oversee departmental budgets, staffing, and resource allocation
Qualifications & Experience
* Current registration as a Pharmacist with AHPRA
* Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in pharmacy, preferably in a hospital or health system
* Strong track record in research, practice development, and clinical leadership
* Demonstrated managerial, financial, and workforce leadership skills
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and team-building abilities

About The Pharmacy Department
The Pharmacy Department is staffed by approximately 150 staff across multiple sites, with current medicines expenditure of approximately $70 million per annum. The department focuses on clinical pharmacy, trials, medication safety, medicines information, antimicrobial stewardship, radiopharmacy, and aged care. It is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education and practice research in collaboration with Deakin and Monash Universities.
