About The Role
This is a role for an engineering leader ready to step up and shape a city-wide transport vision. As Manager Transport Engineering, you'll bring your deep technical capability and apply it at a strategic level, guiding complex design decisions, influencing policy, and delivering high value transport improvements. You'll lead a skilled team, build a culture of technical excellence and ensure every solution is grounded in best practice and real-world impact.

Working closely with senior leaders, you'll drive smarter planning, stronger governance and more integrated decision making. Your insight will help set long-term priorities and investment strategies that create a safer, more efficient and future-ready transport network. About You
You're a forward thinking leader who blends technical expertise with strategic insight. What Your Experience Might Look Like

* Tertiary qualification and/or significant experience with proven achievement in traffic engineering, and eligibility for registration as a Professional Civil Engineer.
* Demonstrated experience leading a team to high performance outcomes, including coaching to build capability, cohesion and effectively manage conflict and underperformance.
* Demonstrated knowledge and application of traffic management principles and practices to strategically manage traffic engineering within a city context.
* Highly developed analytical and lateral thinking skills with the ability to take initiative, drive change and implement innovations.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships and liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Demonstrated ability to develop, manage and maintain business plans, including budgetary and financial management responsibilities.
