We are currently seeking an experienced Demand Planner to join a well-established and growing manufacturing organisation.
This is a key role working closely with Business Unit Managers, Sales, and Supply Chain to deliver accurate forecasting and ensure the business can effectively meet customer demand.
About the Role
As the Demand Planner, you will play a pivotal role in aligning sales forecasts with inventory and supply planning, ensuring optimal stock levels and improved business performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, trends, and market insights
* Monitoring forecast accuracy, bias, and variance, driving continuous improvement initiatives
* Identifying risks such as excess stock, slow-moving inventory (SLOB), and supply gaps
* Producing weekly and monthly reporting across forecast performance and sales trends
* Supporting new product introductions, discontinuations, and product lifecycle changes
* Actively contributing to the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle
* Collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Supply, and Operations teams
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* Previous experience in a Demand Planner / Forecasting / Supply Chain Analyst role
* Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel skills
* Experience working with ERP planning systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE or similar)
* Solid understanding of forecasting methodologies and performance metrics
* Ability to analyse complex data and provide actionable insights
* Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
