Join a market-leading food manufacturer with a strong safety culture and a commitment to continuous improvement. Seeking an experienced and proactive Health Safety and Environment Coordinator to support operations across two locations in bayside and south eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
In this hands‑on role, you will work closely with the EHS Manager and site teams to embed and continuously improve EHS systems, coach and support people, and drive safe behaviours and compliance. Key Responsibilities:
* Drive the implementation of EHS management systems, programs, and training across two sites.
* Conduct inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
* Facilitate EHS inductions, site safety meetings, and Safety Council updates.
* Monitor compliance with environmental and safety legislation and policies.
* Support RTW coordination and manage workers compensation claims.
* Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
About You:
* Formal qualifications in WHS/OHS and Return to Work.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar EHS role, ideally in the food manufacturing sector.
* Sound knowledge of VIC Environment & OHS legislation and industry best practices.
* Strong communication, analytical and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Proven experience with incident management, audits and risk-based programs.
* Analytical mindset together with sound decision making and problem solving skills.
