We are seeking a highly skilled physiotherapist to support students with disabilities in Queensland schools. The successful candidate will join a state-wide team of over 120 physiotherapists who work together to ensure students have the best possible educational experience.
About the Role
As a school-based physiotherapist, you will be responsible for providing consultative services and resources to assist school leaders, staff, parents, and other professional peers. Your primary goal will be to enable students to participate fully in all aspects of their school experience, from classroom activities to swimming and camps.
* You will use evidence-based contemporary physiotherapy knowledge to support students to achieve their potential.
* You will collaborate and liaise with school leaders, teachers, and other service providers to develop and implement physiotherapy services that meet the needs of individual students.
* You will develop and implement best-practice assessment, program planning, intervention, and monitoring strategies for students with disabilities.
* You will provide consultative physiotherapy services and resources to assist school leaders, staff, parents, and other professional peers.
* You will participate in quality improvement and research activities that enhance physiotherapy services in schools.
Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you must:
* Possess a degree in physiotherapy from a recognised tertiary institution or equivalent formal qualifications accepted by the Director-General.
* Hold current registration with the Physiotherapist Board of Australia (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
* Have current citizenship, resident or visa status required to be eligible to work in Australia.
