Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver community events, workshops, and outreach initiatives aimed at strengthening engagement and inclusion.
* Design and implement programs that respond to identified community priorities and issues.
* Work closely with families, support coordinators, therapists, and medical professionals to ensure cohesive care and support.
* Promote awareness of available community services, resources, and assistance programs.
* Partner with local organizations and advocacy groups to uphold the rights and address the needs of disadvantaged individuals and communities.
* Educate and engage the community on social concerns, encouraging participation in collective action and change.
* Offer immediate help and crisis support to individuals and families facing urgent or challenging situations.
* Represent clients in accessing suitable services and ensure they obtain the necessary aid from agencies and support networks.
* Assist individuals in developing essential life skills to enhance independence and active community involvement.
* Guide clients through recovery processes, goal-setting, and connection with mental health and welfare services.
* Maintain adherence to relevant legislation, regulations, and internal organizational standards.
Core Skills & Qualifications:
* AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2)
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Empathy and cultural sensitivity
* Case management and advocacy
* Program development and implementation
* Crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
* At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.
