About the role and opportunity
Thomas Foods International Lobethal is currently offering multiple roles of full-time Skilled Meat Workers (Slaughterers/Boners/Slicers) with various opportunities at our Meat Processing Plant located in 40 Ridge Road, Lobethal SA 5241. With various areas requiring reliable new team members, depending on your previous experience and skill set, you could find yourself doing any of the follow roles but not limited to:
Slaughterer (s)
• Slaughtering tasks across the production floor such as y-cut, air knives, pelting shoulder pull, skin removal, gutting, and evisceration.
Boner (s)
• Breaking carcasses into primal cuts or meat products according to specifications;
• Debone parts of carcasses into primal cuts or meat products according to specifications;
• Boning of forequarters, loins, hindquarters etc.
Slicer (s)
• Trimming and slicing primal cuts or meat products according to specifications;
• Prepare primal cuts for packaging.
Requirements
• Minimum of 1-2 years' work experience in the meat industry;
• Be able to be positively assessed by our MINTRAC registered assessor as meeting the minimum skill level commensurate with a AQF Certificate III
• Physically fit, discipline, agile & a team player within a dynamic environment;
• Maintaining high hygiene standards throughout all processes;
• Follow all OH&S procedures and policies;
• Knowledge of Food Safety & Hygiene requirements will be an added advantage;
• A keen attitude to work, reliability & flexibility;
• Possess working rights in Australia.
As a full-time, permanent employee, you will work 40 hours per week. Overtime & weekend work maybe required depending on production requirements.
Annual base salary up to $68, $75, % superannuation
