Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Quality Assurance Manager located in Young, NSW. The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for overseeing quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. They will develop, implement, and monitor quality control systems, conduct product quality assessments, and liaise with cross‑functional teams to ensure customer expectations are met. Additional responsibilities include team leadership, training, and ensuring safety and regulatory adherence within the production process.
Qualifications
* Education in Chemistry or similar industry experience
* Must have GMP, ISO or any similar certification management and implementation experience
* Experience of 3-5 years in laboratory testing
* Sound knowledge of wet chemistry analytical methods
* Strong written and oral communication skills with proficiency in MS Word and Excel
Responsibilities
1. To maintain Laboratory in a clean and presentable condition
2. Collecting samples from the factory for testing and storing retention samples
3. Preparing samples for new and prospective customers
4. Testing samples to find out chemical and physical composition and reactive properties of raw material and processed material, and keeping proper records
5. Ensuring strong quality control standards for products to meet customers' requirements/demands, and testing reliability of outcome under different conditions
6. Maintaining or supervising maintenance of laboratory equipment and ensuring regular servicing and calibration
7. Collection and testing of dust samples every month for environmental compliance
8. Collecting and testing dust samples from neighbourhood as and when requiredl>
9. Develop products and processes to get consistent quality parameters with minimal costs
10. Develop, review, and maintain quality procedures, documentation
11. Lead the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of the company's Quality Assurance (FAMI-QS, ISO 9001)
12. Lead the QA team to ensure effective daily monitoring, document control, and verification tasks are completed
13. Oversee internal and external audits
14. Manage reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventative actions in discussion with managers
15. Provide technical support to production and management teams regarding product quality
16. Conduct random product inspections, shelf‑life testing, and other control measures
17. Train crew on quality standards, procedures, and best practices. Promote a culture of quality and provide guidance to ensure quality objectives are met
18. Should be able to maintain and conduct various research and development as company deems necessary
19. Any other duties as assigned by the management from time to time
