About The Job

The Clinical Consultant works within a dynamic team of clinicians and academics who contribute their skills and knowledge to the service innovation, workforce development and research translation initiatives of Orygen.

Reporting To The Director, Workforce Development, You Will

Design, develop and deliver evidence-based training packages to youth mental health services, secondary schools and sector networks.
Create new and responsive training programs, including lectures, tutorials and online content to support accredited learning initiatives.
Lead workforce development projects and develop practical resources to build internal and external capacity in youth mental health.
Provide expert consultation, advice and supervision (individual and group reflective practice) to strengthen evidence-based practice, assessment and referral pathways.
Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, support meaningful youth and family participation in projects, and travel as required to deliver initiatives successfully.

Skills and experience

The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:

Tertiary qualifications in clinical psychology, occupational therapy, mental health nursing or social work and current registration with the AHPRA or AASW.
Extensive senior clinical experience in youth mental health (e.g. Senior Clinician, Clinical Coordinator or Educator), with advanced skills in assessment, case formulation and evidence-based intervention, and strong knowledge of early intervention frameworks.
Proven experience delivering engaging workshops, training and education (face-to-face and online), with the ability to translate and synthesise evidence into clear, practical guidance for clinical and non-clinical audiences.
Strong understanding of the Australian health and education systems, including services such as headspace, Primary Health Networks and tertiary mental health services, with experience providing secondary consultation and workforce capacity building.
Highly organised, motivated and collaborative professional with excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to manage competing priorities, build strong stakeholder relationships and contribute effectively within a small team environment.

Benefits

Salary between $120,000 - $130,000 pro rata commensurate with skills and experience + 12% superannuation and $15,900 in NFP salary packaging + $2,600 meals and entertainment card.
