Role & Company Overview:Our client is a highly successful and growing Australian asset manager known for providing investment solutions across credit, real estate and private equity markets. As the organisation continues to grow, they are seeking an Investment Operations Analyst to support the day-to-day management of fund operations and the broader investment lifecycle.
Reporting to the Head of Investment Operations, this role sits at the centre of fund activity, working closely with internal teams and external service providers to ensure operations, transactions and reporting are executed accurately and efficiently. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious operations professional with 2-3 years of experience, looking for the next step in their career.
The position is offered permanently and is based in Sydney.
Key Responsibilities:Act as a key operational contact for day-to-day fund and investment activitiesManage trade matching and settlement, post-trade compliance monitoring and cash managementPerform unit pricing support, fee calculations, reconciliations and distribution processingLiaise with custodians, fund administrators, trustees, auditors, tax advisors, brokers and platform providers, ensuring SLAs are maintainedSupport fund launches, closures and audits, and contribute to system integrations and automation initiatives
Skills & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce or a related discipline2+ years’ experience in funds management, fund accounting or investment operationsPrior experience as a Fund Accountant highly regardedStrong foundational knowledge in fund operations/fund accounting/investment operationsAdvanced Excel skills with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilityA curious mind, hard-working attitude and a passion for investment management
