Job Summary
We are seeking Housekeepers/Room Attendants responsible for cleaning and servicing hotel rooms, apartments and public areas at Hotel Pension Grimus, an iconic family‐owned hotel located on the ski slopes of Mt Buller.
Live and work in an idyllic location in the Australian Alps. Access to the Buller Crew program and discounted season pass. On‐mountain staff accommodation with all meals included available.
Responsibilities
* Servicing rooms and apartments daily and staff accommodation areas.
* Cleaning bathrooms and kitchens and replenishing guest supplies.
* Washing and drying bed linen and towels.
* Maintaining linen cupboards and housekeeping trolleys.
* Changing light globes and cleaning windows.
* Sweeping external areas, cleaning public areas and cleaning elevator/wall surfaces periodically.
* Ensuring safe and effective use of cleaning products and equipment.
* Ensuring correct handling of guest property and lost items.
* Responding to special requests and reporting maintenance issues with urgency.
* Assisting other departments wherever necessary and maintaining good working relationships.
* Complying with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislation.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a similar role.
* Passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service.
* Good communication skills, including a good command of spoken English.
* Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints.
* Good time‐management skills.
* Reliability, honesty, trustworthiness and physical fitness.
* Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.
* Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
Additional Requirements
* Foreign nationals must hold a valid Australian Working Holiday Visa subclass 417 or 462.
