As a newly created position within the structure, the Assets team are seeking a Statutory Property Manager to provide effective leadership, management, and provision of specialist advice and services across the statutory property functions of Council.
**This is the role**
You'll be providing expert advice across the full scope of statutory property functions at PSC, along with;
- Effective management of land managed on behalf of other government entities, such as Crown Trusts, including issuing leases, licences, and permits and the approval or submission of Plans of Management
- Native Title Management including issuing leases, licences and permits and the approval or submission of Plans of Management that authorise or permit certain dealings that may affect Native Title
- Provision of advice on property valuation and ability to provide advice on feasibility and cash flow analysis
- Statutory property transactions including acquisition, disposal and rezoning/classification of council land including roads, reserves and easements

- If you consider yourself to have exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate others, we want to hear from you. Not only holding these skillsets, you will also be able to demonstrate the following;
- A degree qualification in Property, Land Economics or a related field with several years of experience, along with knowledge of property valuations and an ability to undertake feasibility and cash flow analysis
- Sound working knowledge of the Local Government Act, Crown Lands Act, Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act & Roads Act
- Experience in local government, the public sector or a large diverse organisation
- Demonstrated experience in Project and Development Management including the use of MS project and other tools
- Effective cost management and budget skills
- Demonstrated professional written communication skills including word processing abilities allowing the preparation of business cases, reports and directives
- Ability to interpret legislation and regulations and develop or revise procedures to comply with these requirements

- **Base Salary Range**: $103,938 to $122,275 pa based on a 35 hour week + 11.5% superannuation + $18,619.19 motor vehicle allowance + $2,312 retention allowance
