What You'll Be Doing

The Kids Cancer Centre (KCC) is one of the largest centres in Australia that researchers and treats childhood cancer under one roof. We are a large multi-disciplinary department within Sydney Children's Hospital with the goal of providing best practice patient care combined with research, to improve outcomes for children with cancer.

The Clinical Administration Manager is responsible for the day-to-day administrative functions of the oncology inpatient wards, the oncology outpatient clinic and other patient care related administration roles within the Kids Cancer Centre.

The position plays a pivotal role in effectively liaising with clinical staff and managers, patients and their families, hospital staff and external parties, and supporting administration staff, by providing direction and guidance in the facilitation of administrative systems, processes and procedures to improve efficiencies in accordance with policies, procedures and standards.

Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day administrative functions of the oncology inpatient wards and outpatient clinic within the Kids Cancer Centre.
* Provide direction and guidance to administration staff to improve efficiencies in line with policies, procedures and standards.
* Liaise with clinical staff, managers, patients, families and external parties to coordinate administrative processes.
Qualifications & Skills
* Administration experience including demonstrated success in delivering high level customer service.
* Team management skills (experience preferred; if not, provide examples of skills supporting a move into a management role).
* Ability to prioritise and organise a busy workload, remain calm under pressure, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
* High-level interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders (including difficult or upset people).
* Analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience in process improvement.
* Proactive, initiative-taking with experience in problem solving and process improvement.
* Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
