Senior Project Manager I 12 months contract

Your new role
We're seeking an ICT Delivery Manager to lead the end‑to‑end technical delivery of critical enterprise projects. In this role, you will bring together architecture, cyber security, engineering, and vendor teams to deliver high‑quality solutions that meet the evolving needs of the business.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate technical solution planning across Architecture, specialist OCIO delivery teams, and key vendor partners to shape new business capabilities.
Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment between technical dependencies, business requirements, and organisational priorities.
Lead the delivery of all technical solution components, including system architecture, cyber security design, and other OCIO-owned technology deliverables.
Manage multiple delivery partners, including internal NDIA and Services Australia teams, as well as commercial vendors.
Collaborate closely with Product Owners and delivery teams, staying across sprint progress and providing technical guidance and escalation support.
Represent the project in ICT Change Management and release planning, ensuring smooth and compliant delivery.
Ensure adherence to OCIO technology standards, including cyber assessments, penetration testing, and Go/No-Go gates.
Champion DevOps practices to uplift quality, reliability, and automation across release pipelines, regression testing, monitoring integration, and synthetic testing.
Proactively manage plans, risks, issues, and decisions using OCIO's standard project management tools.
Provide clear reporting, including weekly OCIO Status Reports to senior leadership.
Foster a collaborative, high‑performing project environment, building strong relationships across business and delivery partners.
Offer ICT delivery leadership and ensure conformance to established delivery methods and frameworks.
Drive continuous improvement, leveraging your rich background in ICT program and project delivery.
Key Selection Criteria
Candidates will be required to address the criteria below, which will be submitted to the client as part of their application.
Relevant tertiary qualifications and an industry recognised qualification in project management, such as Diploma of Project Management or SAFe Agile.
Proven experience of 8–10 years' establishing and managing the delivery of technical ICT Business System delivery projects inclusive of contemporary integration, cloud and security architectures.
Demonstrated experience managing outsource systems delivery providers.
Proven experience in, and strong knowledge of, contemporary project management, system delivery, governance frameworks and methodologies.
Well-developed communication, influence and negotiation skills.
