Overview
The Clinical Nurse Consultant – Aged Care is the clinical lead for Lyell House, the Residential Aged Care Facility at West Coast District Hospital.
Responsibilities
* Leading and promoting best practice in aged care nursing and geriatric medicine
* Acting as Infection Control Lead for West Coast District Hospital
* Conducting comprehensive assessments and care planning with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
* Providing expert clinical advice and support to staff
* Supporting quality improvement, risk management, and compliance activities
* Assisting the NUM and DON with documentation, reporting, policy development, and admissions
* Supporting staff education and professional development in collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Educator
* Collaborating with the Activities Coordinator to oversee resident activities
Qualifications/Requirements

Remuneration and Benefits
Salary: $118,297 – $125,543 per annum
12% Employer Superannuation contribution (in addition to salary)
Salary in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023
Post Graduate Allowance up to 10% (based on qualification type)
Remote & Rural Professional Development Allowance: $3,797 per annum
10% Remote Allowance
Salary Packaging Benefits: Up to $9,010 living expenses per FBT year; $2,650 meal entertainment per FBT year
