Role Description
The General Accountant is responsible for managing, analyzing, and maintaining accurate financial records to support effective financial decision-making. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies while contributing to smooth month-end and year-end closing processes.
* Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
* Reconcile bank statements regularly to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies.
* Prepare, review, and maintain financial statements in accordance with accounting principles.
* Conduct month-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
* Maintain organized and updated financial records, ledgers, and reports.
* Ensure compliance with local tax laws, financial regulations, and company policies.
* Assist with audits by preparing required documents and supporting external auditors.
* Support budgeting and forecasting processes as needed.
* Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and improve operational efficiency.
Role Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Proven experience in general accounting or a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax compliance.
* Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
* Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
