The Role
We are seeking a Data Developer to support the development, enhancement, and ongoing delivery of reporting and analytics solutions across the business.
Based at our Head Office in Moonah, this temporary role plays a key part in ensuring continuity of reporting and analytics service.
Working under the technical direction and governance of the Application Development and Data Lead, you will deliver high-quality data products, maintain and enhance existing reports, and provide responsive support to business users.
This is a 12-month contract role, with the potential for extension.
Responsibilities
* Developing, maintaining, and enhancing business reports, dashboards, and data models using Power BI, SQL, and related tools
* Building and supporting reliable data pipelines and transformations to enable accurate reporting and analytics
* Translating business reporting needs into clear, practical technical solutions
* Providing second-level support for reporting and analytics platforms, including troubleshooting and optimisation
* Supporting data quality, governance, and documentation in line with enterprise standards
* Working closely with business users to enable effective use of reporting tools and promote data literacy
* Contributing to data and reporting projects and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
* General IT backfill as required
Qualifications
* Proficiency in reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI, SQL, and DAX
* Experience in data modelling, data visualisation, and metadata management
* Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and compliance frameworks
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively across multiple tasks
* Clear communication skills, with the ability to support and guide business users
* Experience with database systems (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Data Lake) and data integration tools (e.g. SSIS, Azure Data Factory) is desirable
* High attention to detail and the ability to work independently or collaboratively
