The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll cycles across a mix of wages and salaried staff under the Waste Management Award & Clerks Award.

You'll work closely with General Managers, Operational Managers, Finance & HR to ensure payroll is accurate, compliant and delivered on time, every time.

Your key responsibilities will include:

* End-to-end payroll processing across multiple entities
* Managing weekly, fortnightly and monthly pay runs
* Processing payroll via Employment Hero Payroll (integrated with Employment Hero HR)
* Interpreting and applying Modern Awards (Waste Management & Clerks Award)
* Ensuring accuracy of timesheets generated through NoahFace
* Managing leave calculations, terminations and final payments
* Superannuation, PAYG and payroll compliance reporting
* Reconciliations and payroll-related queriesMaintaining employee records and payroll data integrity
* Supporting audits and reporting requirements
* Adhoc Finance administration support

About You

You enjoy working in a hands‐on operational business and communicate clearly with managers and employees to resolve payroll queries efficiently and professionally. Accuracy matters to you, deadlines don't faze you, you take ownership and understand the important role payroll plays in supporting our people and operations.

You'll bring:

* Experienced in Employment Hero Payroll (Desired)
* Confident managing multiple pay cycles simultaneously
* Strong in Award interpretation and payroll compliance
* Highly accurate with exceptional attention to detail
* Organised and able to meet strict payroll deadlines
* Professional and discreet when handling confidential information
* Comfortable working 100% onsite in a collaborative office environment
* Experience in waste management, transport, logistics or blue‐collar payroll/finance environments will be highly regarded
