Health, Safety and Environment Advisor Role
We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) professional to join our team as an HSE Advisor.
The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing our company's HSE Plan, policies and procedures at the project level.
About the Role
This is a critical position that requires a strong background in HSE, with a focus on improving project teams' performance through training and coaching.
You will be responsible for reviewing and monitoring key project performance indicators for HSE, assisting with our internal audit program, and attending client and external meetings as required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Aid project teams in improving their HSE performance by providing training and coaching on company policies, procedures, and systems.
2. Review and monitor key project performance indicators for HSE to ensure compliance with our company's standards.
3. Assist with the company's internal audit program in relation to HSE, including reviewing audit reports and closing corrective actions.
4. Attend client and external meetings, audits, and inspections as required.
5. Investigate significant incidents, make recommendations, and implement corrective actions, including monitoring the closure of corrective actions.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Minimum two to three years' work experience in a HSE role within the commercial construction industry.
* Experience working with a tier 1 organisation or demonstrable experience working on large and/or complex commercial construction projects.
* Certificate IV OHS Management.
* Exposure to the HSE accreditation process.
* OFSC & AS/NZS4801 experience.
* A willingness to mentor project staff in preparing and implementing a HSE Plan.
