The Role: Elevate the Experience
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Farm Hand/ Senior Farm Hand to join our farming operations teams as a live-in employee. This position is ideal for an experienced individual looking to integrate fully into a Western Australian family farm committed to high standards of livestock and property management.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Livestock Management: Assist with the general care, welfare, and handling of cattle and other livestock.
* Pasture Management: Perform key tasks in pasture management, including monitoring, rotational grazing, seeding, fertilising, and hay/silage making.
* Farm Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and repair of farm infrastructure, including fencing, water points, and irrigation systems.
* Machinery Operation: Operate and maintain a range of farm machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
* Emergency Contact: As a live-in employee, be available as a primary point of contact for infrequent farm emergencies outside of rostered hours (e.g., livestock on the road, water failures).
What You'll Bring to the Team
* Experience: Proven experience in broadacre or livestock farming is highly desirable.
* Skills: Competency in operating and performing routine maintenance on farm machinery and equipment. A HR Truck License is preferred, or a willingness to obtain one.
* Character: A consistently positive and respectful demeanor with a commitment to being a helpful and valued team member.
Mandatory Requirements:
* Valid Australian Driver's License.
* Demonstrated experience or ability to perform farm duties (e.g., fencing, machinery operation).
Live-in Arrangement & Compensation
* Housing: This is a mandatory live-in position and includes a dedicated on-site cottage.
* Salary: The annual salary is commensurate with experience (DOE) and ranges from $73,900 to $100,000+ statutory superannuation.
* Roster: You will work full-time, 8-hour days on a Sunday to Thursday roster (with Friday and Saturday off).
* Rent: A weekly rent of $435 will be deducted from your wages. This fee includes all services (water, electricity) and internet access. The cost of gas bottle refills is the responsibility of the employee.
