Position Overview
We are seeking an exceptional professional to join our team as a highly skilled Associate.
The role will involve advising clients on environmental and planning matters, including approvals, prosecutions, and acquisitions.
The ideal candidate will have experience in environment, planning, climate change or major projects, preferably with a leading firm, government regulator or top-tier boutique.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert advice on environmental and planning issues, including court proceedings and negotiations with regulators.
* Support large-scale renewable energy and infrastructure projects, including wind, solar, pumped hydro, and data centre developments.
* Assist with strategic climate change matters, including sustainability reporting, directors' duties, and greenwashing risk.
* Work on high-profile disputes, including precedent-setting cases in the Land and Environment Court and other superior courts.
* Advise on environmental markets, such as carbon credits and biodiversity schemes.

Ideal Candidate:
* 1–4 years PQE with a focus on environment, planning, climate change, or major projects.
* Experience in a leading firm, government regulator, or top-tier boutique (court/tipstaff experience highly regarded).
* Interest in working on a mix of advisory, transactional, and contentious matters.
* Curiosity for law reform, policy, and cross-jurisdictional work.
