Job Opportunity:
A Laboratory Technician is required to work at our Mt Ida site, responsible for performing all aspects of sample preparation and operating laboratory instrumentation.
This role involves working closely with the processing and geology teams, utilizing equipment such as AAS instruments, PAL machines, and filter presses to conduct acid digestions, wet chemistry, and other laboratory test work.
The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a high quality of work while meeting daily production targets, operate various laboratory instruments, and effectively communicate with colleagues to maintain accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain a high standard of work quality while achieving daily production goals.
* Operate laboratory equipment, including AAS instruments, PAL machines, and others, in a mining environment.
* Work independently, using initiative to complete tasks efficiently.
* Communicate effectively with team members, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
Requirements:
* Degree or certification in laboratory techniques, such as Certificate IV in laboratory techniques.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in operating laboratory equipment in a mining company, specifically AAS instruments, PAL machines, and conducting acid digestions.
* Experience in gold mining and understanding of laboratory processes.
