About the Role
We are seeking a Commissioning Engineer – Instrumentation & Control (I&C) to join the delivery team for the Eyre Peninsula Desalination Project.
This role will focus on the commissioning of I&C systems for a major water infrastructure project, ensuring compliance with technical standards and project objectives.
The position requires strong technical capability, attention to detail, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to achieve successful outcomes.
Commissioning & Technical Support
Lead and support commissioning activities for I&C systems in desalination and water treatment facilities.
Validate control sequences, instrumentation calibration, and integration with PLC and SCADA systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during commissioning and handover phases.
Ensure compliance with Australian Standards and project specifications.
Design & Documentation: Review and verify instrumentation data sheets, loop diagrams, and control narratives for commissioning readiness.
Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve design issues impacting commissioning.
Maintain accurate documentation of commissioning procedures and results.
Coordination & Procurement
Liaise with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of commissioning materials and services.
Assist in defining commissioning scopes and technical requirements.
Required Skills and Competencies
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control, or related discipline.
Experience in commissioning I&C systems within water infrastructure or industrial projects (water sector experience desirable).
Knowledge of PLC, SCADA systems, and instrumentation standards.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
