Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Civil Engineer / Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to support land development and infrastructure projects from planning and design through permitting and construction. This is a hands-on, onsite role working closely with project managers, engineers, and consultants using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare civil engineering drawings, plans, and specifications for site development, roadways, drainage, and utilities
* Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop detailed designs, layouts, and models
* Collect and analyze survey data, zoning requirements, utility information, and jurisdictional codes
* Assist with engineering calculations, technical reports, and permitting documentation
* Review plans and specifications to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance
* Maintain organized project files, drawings, and revision records
* Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and regulatory agencies to support approvals
* Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and occasional site visits
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
* Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required (PE is a plus)
* 3+ years of civil engineering experience, preferably in land development or infrastructure
* Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
* Strong understanding of grading, drainage, and utility design
* Detail-oriented with solid problem-solving and organizational skills
* Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively onsite
