Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Tube Fitter to join our team. As a Tube Fitter, you will be responsible for installing and fitting tubing systems, fittings, valves, supports, and related components.
About the Role
* Plan and execute tubing installations based on isometric drawings, P&IDs, and layout sketches.
* Measure, cut, thread, bend, and fit tubing to specified dimensions using hand and power tools.
* Assemble and install tubing systems, ensuring accurate connections and compliance with engineering standards and safety codes.
* Perform hydrostatic, pneumatic, and leak testing on completed systems to ensure quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with welders, pipefitters, and instrument technicians to integrate tubing with other mechanical systems.
2. Maintain accurate records of work performed and report progress to supervisors.
3. Adhere to company and site safety policies, participate in toolbox meetings, and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
4. Identify and report potential hazards, ensuring a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
* Trade certification or vocational training in pipefitting, tube fitting, or a related mechanical discipline preferred.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial or construction tube fitting, preferably in an oil & gas, petrochemical, or manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting piping drawings and isometrics.
* Strong understanding of materials such as stainless steel, copper, and alloy tubing.
* Familiarity with Swagelok, Parker, or equivalent compression fitting systems.
* Knowledge of safe work practices, pressure testing, and quality inspection procedures.
* Ability to lift up to 25 kg and work in confined spaces or at heights.
* Exposure to outdoor construction environments, varying temperatures, and noise.
* Must be physically fit and capable of wearing required PPE.
