Why this role matters
The Salvation Army (Salvos) is one of Australia's largest providers of alcohol and other drug (AOD) programs including withdrawal management, residential and non-residential rehabilitation, and harm reduction programs. Salvos services go beyond addressing the core issues and challenges associated with problematic substance abuse and provide participants a place of hope, compassion, and dignity to recover safely.
Gosford Recovery Hub (GRH) is a community-based alcohol and other drug service that provides a range of service including education and support, brief intervention, case management and structured group work program
About the role

Join our team at the Gosford Recovery Hub (GRH) as a Case Worker and be part of something meaningful In this rewarding role, you'll provide hands-on support, guiding individuals on their recovery journey through case management, care coordination, psychosocial interventions, assessments, referrals, education, and support. Working within a participant-led, recovery-based framework, you'll play a key role in empowering individuals to rebuild their lives.
Reporting to the Team Leader this is a permanent full-time position, located in Gosford, NSW.
Responsibilities will include
* Provide efficient day to day service delivery through education, interventions, group work, psychosocial interventions assessment, referral and case management work within a recovery-orientated and person-led service environment.
* Develop and monitor individual treatment plans and maintain case management documentation, records, reports and data collection, utilising established case planning procedures
* Work collaboratively and professionally with other services, developing effective pathways and partnerships and networks with key stakeholders
* Demonstrate commitment to an environment that values continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of high-quality services.
You will have
* Minimum of Diploma level qualification in a relevant discipline (AOD, Community Services, Case Management).
* Completed 4 AOD Skill Set Units (or willing to undertake/complete during employment).
* Demonstrated ability to deal with unpredictable situations and behaviours utilising de-escalation techniques.
* At least two years' experience in recovery (if applicable).
* Sound computer literacy
* Ability to critically reflect on professional practice and attitudes.
* Ability to develop and tailor programs to meet participants' needs.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships and engage effectively with clients and colleagues
* A Current Drivers Licence

Conditions
Compensation is in accordance with Social, Community, Home care and Disability Services Industry Award, Level 4, plus superannuation exclusive of penalties, allowances and NFP salary packaging.
