The Global Key Accounts (GKA) Industry & Mining team plays a crucial role in Shell's Global Lubricants Strategy. In this exciting Key Account Manager Mining role, you will be responsible for developing business opportunities with major mining companies globally, focusing on APAC and Australia where significant mineral reserves are located.
You will work closely with the GKA Mining Sector Lead to develop and implement key strategies to grow Shell's lubricants business with Top 10 Global mining companies in APAC, while also building a strong pipeline.
This position requires effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, delivering results through others as most business is conducted via indirect channels such as Macro distributors.

Key Qualifications:
* Strong commercial acumen with large customers and complex deals.
* Experience in the mining sector or related sectors.
* Mastery of stakeholder management both internally and externally with customers and partners at different organisational levels.
* Business Delivery & Innovation: Drive delivery of Business Plan targets through collaboration with Local Key Account Managers and Macro-distributors, leveraging Value and Challenger Selling insights; bring innovative ideas to grow the business via multidisciplinary teams.
* Leadership & Coaching: Champion Commercial Excellence, mentor indirect reports, and support performance, discipline, and simplification across the team.
* HSSE & Compliance: Lead by example in HSSE, promote Goal Zero, and ensure compliance with Shell Business Principles and competition laws; actively engage in safety culture initiatives and incident reporting.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build and manage senior-level relationships with key stakeholders, implement engagement plans, and maintain regular customer interactions.
* Personal Attributes & Work Style: Demonstrate passion, resilience, positivity, and collaboration; capable of working independently in a virtual environment and managing uncertainty effectively.
This role includes approximately 30% travel in APAC, mainly Australia, including mine sites. Travel can vary based on peak periods and business context. As part of a global team across different time zones, flexibility is required and provided.
