**The Role**
The Area Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the coordination and delivery of Reactive and Preventative Maintenance on behalf of the organisation's owned and leased property portfolio across a designated area of responsibility. The role is required to be "Hands On" on occasion and when needed.
The position reports to the Regional Property Services Manager NSW / ACT and will actively support all works undertaken by Property team - including Preventative Maintenance, Asset Management, Capital Works and Contractor Management.
All Property works are conducted in alignment with Southern Cross Care NSW /ACT strategic plan, inclusive of financial priorities and in accordance with relevant industry codes and practices for regulatory compliance.
**This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday from 07.30am - 3.30pm. You will have access to company vehicle.**
The Role will include but not be limited to:
Work with the facility management and delegate task as required.
Manage all work outsourced to contractors to ensure compliance and work completed within scope/value/ quality of maintenance contracts.
Inspect and help coordinate all needed repairs and services
Perform and coordinate reactive and preventive maintenance
Monitor and escalate any issues relating to essential services (e.g lifts/fire/mechanical/electrical/hydraulic)
Constantly be aware of the condition of property and immediately initiate action to correct unsafe conditions
Identify opportunities for Asset optimisation and Risk mitigation.
- Trade qualification (preferred)
- Previous experience in a similar role and industry (desirable)
- Current driver license
- Excellent written and verbal communication with interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of people
- Ability to work independently and under minimum supervision
- Sensitivity to the needs of the elderly in a residential care setting
- Ability to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationship with residents and/or families
- Willing to travel to multiple sites across Southwest Sydney, including South Coogee, Sutherland, Daceyville and Maroubra
