 
        
        IPA currently have requirements for a number of experienced Maintenance Officers to work in a Detention Centre to assist with all Maintenance duties on-site. 
**You will be responsible for**: 
- Provide basic repairs and general handyman activities in and around the buildings and grounds, including the repair and maintenance of small machinery. 
- Maintain centre grounds (as required) and/or assets including reporting, auditing, identifying current and future needs 
- Maintain a protected, secure, and productive working environment, which responds to the safety of staff and young people. 
- Other ad-hoc duties such as collecting supplies, and transporting items around the centre. 
**You will be adequately trained in the following areas**: 
- Protection actions 
- Radio operation 
- Code training 
**Requirements of the position**: 
- Minimum 12 months of maintenance experience **MUST**: 
- Current Driver's License 
- Current Working with Children Blue Card **MUST** - applicants without this will not be considered. 
- Undertake and pass a clear Criminal History Check.
