- We are seeking a Health Information Manager to join our Health Information Team.
- Salary Classification: Health Services Manager - Level 3
- Remuneration: $66.69 to $76.76 per hour + superannuation + annual leave loading + salary packaging options.
As Health Information Manager you will provide strategic advice and leadership in provision of Health Information Services to ensure orderly and secure storage of patient information, access to patient information for continuum of care, managing release of information within statutory guidelines, and management support for Activity Based Management (ABM). The Health Information Manager will lead the Clinical Coding Unit and the Clinical Information Department. The position is responsible for providing strategic oversight to the patient services administration streams.
About You:
- Degree in Health Information Management, or equivalent experience.
- Sound knowledge and experience in evaluating and establishing standards of Health Record Services and experience working in health information in a Hospital setting.
- Demonstrated experience in applying data collection rules for admitted and non-admitted patient data and provision of advice and analysis reports in an ABM model
- Demonstrated experience in leading, developing and managing multiple teams.
- Demonstrated experience in working with privacy legislation, release of information legislation/policies
