Psychiatry Registrar - Women's Mental Health Service

A fixed-term opportunity is available for a Psychiatry Registrar to contribute to the provision of an effective and efficient consultation-liaison psychiatry service at our hospital.

* Main Responsibilities:
1. Providing Assessment and Management Services: The successful candidate will provide assessment and management services to women with mental health issues, including those related to pregnancy and childbirth. They will also be involved in supporting NICU families.
2. Collaboration and Consultation: The registrar will work collaboratively with other staff units to provide advice, consultation, and support for women with mental health problems.
3. Teaching and Education: They will contribute to teaching in women's mental health for undergraduate students and participate in education and training for RWH staff regarding women's mental health.

Requirements and Qualifications:

* Registration as a Medical Practitioner: The candidate must be registered as a medical practitioner with AHPRA.
* Trainee Status: They must be a current trainee within the Victorian RANZCP Psychiatry Training Program.
* Desirable Skills: Preferably Stage 3 Advanced Trainees in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry, Generalist, or Adult psychiatry training; Stage 2 trainees may also be considered.
* Teamwork and Independence: The registrar should have proven ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
