What You Will Be Doing
As the maintenance planner and scheduler you will help develop and implement maintenance strategies to extend equipment life cycles, reduce unplanned repairs and minimise downtime. You will manage the CMMS system, coordinate with suppliers and contractors and maintain detailed schedules. This role also involves collaborating with the operations team to prioritise tasks and ensure the timely delivery of parts and assets. Your role will also include:
* Establish, document and implement strategies and plans to support fixed plant life cycles.
* Build a preventive maintenance culture on mobile and fixed plant equipment.
* Reduce unplanned repairs and breakdowns and maximise cost benefits by developing, implementing, and maintaining the requirement framework, tools, processes, and procedures.
* Work with the operations and maintenance teams to identify and prioritise maintenance needs and develop strategies to minimise plant and equipment downtime.
* Develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance schedule for all plants and equipment.
What You Will Need
To be successful in this role you would need to have proven experience as a maintenance planner and scheduler, developing and managing an asset management plan as well as:
* Tertiary qualifications desirable or equivalent work experience
* Trade qualification in either, Mechanical, Heavy-Duty or similar.
* Minimum 2 years previous experience in an Asset and Facilities position
* Supervisory experience within a Workshop or Machinery Repair environment
* Advanced competency across the Microsoft Suite.
* An understanding of budgeting processes and good analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Advanced report writing skills.
* Ability to work autonomously with well-developed time management and organisational skills
* Ability to contribute effectively within a team environment.
