About the role

AFF is seeking a Farm Hand to join our team at Milo, located approximately 18 km north of Moree, NSW. Milo is a large-scale row-crop farming operation, and this role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in broadacre agriculture.

The position will commence with a 6 month trial period, with the opportunity to progress to a permanent full-time role based on performance. No prior farming experience is required, as on-site training will be provided. This role is well suited to someone keen to learn, develop practical skills, and build a long-term career in agriculture.

Key responsibilities include:

Operating farm machinery and equipment.

Assisting with irrigation management and monitoring.

Supporting weed control and crop maintenance activities.

Carrying out workshop tasks and general farm maintenance.

Working hours may include periods of extended days (up to 12 days straight, with a maximum of 12 hours per day), depending on seasonal and operational requirements.

Please note: applicants must have full Australian working rights. Unfortunately, sponsorship is not available for this role.

You're a practical and reliable individual who enjoys hands-on work and being part of a team. You're open to learning new skills, taking direction, and stepping up when required.

Additional information:

Start date is negotiable.

No on-farm accommodation available.

Remuneration will be discussed and is dependent on experience and suitability for the role.
