About SLR And The Role
SLR Consulting is a rapidly growing privately-owned global business, with a strong reputation for providing high quality environmental and advisory services. We have over 4,000 staff with offices throughout the APAC, Europe, North, Central and South America, and Africa regions. In APAC we have over 1,000 employees across 24 offices.
We currently have a great opportunity in our Adelaide or Nuriootpa office, for an ambitious graduate civil engineer or geologist, looking to take the important first step in their career.
The role will provide you with technical development day to day, while also providing the opportunity to be part of a structured learning program
. It is intended that the graduate roles would commence in early 2026 as part of SLR's leading graduate program upon completion of your university studies.
Responsibilities
As part of a growing team in SLR, you will be responsible for carrying out services that range in assisting with preparing tenders and proposals, assisting with technical reporting, providing advice to clients and colleagues and working in a combination of office based and fieldwork activities.
You will be supported by senior consultants to develop detailed knowledge and understanding of the construction materials industry, and techniques to solve complex problems.
You will connect with other graduates around Australia in various sectors in a collaborative approach and will enjoy working with others in the business and sharing success.
Experience
At a minimum, successful candidates must have:
* Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or Geology
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, and fluency in written and spoken English
* Demonstrated initiative and capability to work independently as well as working well within a team environment
* Ability to analyse and interpret situations and problems, and develop appropriate solutions
* A hunger for development and a positive attitude focussed
Experience in the following areas will be advantageous to your application:
* Exposure to / understanding of the consulting industry
* Understanding of the quarry and construction materials industry
* AutoCAD and Civil 3D drafting experience
