Peppers Seaport Hotel is located 5 minutes from the heart of Launceston, in the dockside precinct. The contemporary property offers studio rooms and apartment-style suites with balconies and views overlooking the seaport marina or historic township. The area offers nearby nature, coastline, and access to wine and food experiences in the Tamar Valley.
Purpose / Role
As a Guest Service Agent, you will be the friendly face and warm welcome that sets the tone for guests’ stay, covering the guest journey from check-in to check-out and delivering exceptional hospitality.
Salary & Benefits
- Casual loading on all hourly rates
- Base rate: $26.70 per hour
- Loadings: Monday - Friday $33.38ph, Saturday $40.05ph, Sunday $46.73ph, Public Holidays $66.75ph
Primary Responsibilities
- Roll out the red carpet of hospitality, ensuring every guest feels like a VIP from check-in to check-out
- Communicate confidently with guests and colleagues to ensure cohesive collaboration
- Conquer challenges alongside guests, transforming dilemmas into positive outcomes
- Promote hotel amenities and services by having a deep understanding of products and offerings
- Share information on neighbourhood hotspots and must-visit gems
- Display proficiency in accurately handling reservations and managing guest accounts
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in hotel front desk operations is advantageous
- Innovative approach to exceeding customer service expectations
- Ability to collaborate within teams and work independently
- Strong multitasking, organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication
- Available to work a variety of shifts including nights, overnights, weekends, and public holidays as required
