**As part of a team, the role of Training Officer includes**: - Contribute to the development and implementation of learning, organisational development and business improvement interventions assisting disability services staff. Engage with key stakeholders to identify business learning priorities that facilitates a planned and targeted approach to learning and development. Delivery of organisational and accredited endorsed (elearning and flexible) activities to support ongoing skill requirements of disability services staff. Contribute to the planning, scheduling and implementation for induction, accredited training and learning and development programs to support disability services program areas. Support and mentor the development of team members
- Assistance with ongoing maintenance of continuous improvement processes and the development, review, and implementation of all training products. Ensure training program record management processes meet organisational and industry standards. Support the maintenance and administration of training resources, facilities, vehicles and suppliers.
Role specific/technical skills
- Strong understanding of the disability or community sector and vocational education and training (VET) sectors
- Can demonstrate the required skills and knowledge of competencies in the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or have the ability to achieve the qualification as a requirement for the role.
Travel is a requirement of the role, and a current and valid 'C' class driver's licence is a necessity to utilise government vehicles
