About The Area
College Services delivers academic and technical support to UWA's schools, enabling excellence in teaching and research. The Technical Services team supports a wide range of life sciences disciplines including gross anatomy, physiology, optometry, and sports science. The team contributes to high-quality learning outcomes through lab and fieldwork support, equipment maintenance, workshop design, and promoting a strong culture of safety and compliance.
This role is based primarily in the Human Science Training laboratories supporting teaching and learning with a primary focus in Sports Science and Physiology.
About The Opportunity
* Assist with the preparation and maintenance of teaching and research workshops and laboratories.
* Perform routine servicing of equipment and uphold compliance with safety protocols.
* Support academic staff and students in practical activities aligned with UWA's teaching and research goals.
About You
* Year 12 completion or equivalent competency, with relevant technical support experience.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage time and priorities effectively.
* Confident using computer applications including spreadsheets, email, and databases.
* Able to work independently and collaboratively within a high-performing team.
Special Requirements
* Able to meet the physical requirements of the role.
* Some after-hours work may be required.
