Business Services Manager | Full Time | Civil & Mining
Established in 2010, Red Dust Holdings (RDH) is a progressive Civil Construction & Mining Services Contractor based in Geraldton, WA, with active projects across the state. Our work spans everything from detailed roadworks and major highway upgrades to large‐scale civil and mining projects including tailings dams, airport construction, and haul road construction.
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Business Services Manager to join our Geraldton team and lead the Business Administration, Project Administration and Human Resources teams. This is a varied position that will suit someone who enjoys being across multiple areas of the business, thrives on organisation and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. We're looking for someone who is reliable, adaptable, and genuinely enjoys supporting both people and processes. Someone who can confidently manage competing priorities, communicate well across all levels, and lead with a positive, collaborative mindset. This position sits within the Leadership team and collaborates closely with Senior Management to oversee and support diverse administrative, operational, and financial functions.
Please note that this is a local Geraldton position only; it is not a FIFO or relocation opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and ensure the effective day‐to‐day management of office operations and administrative functions
* Provide leadership and strategic support to business and operational support teams
* Ensure systems and processes are structured, efficient, and support seamless business operations
* Lead and coordinate administrative support services across all departments to ensure consistent delivery standards
* Oversee accounts administration functions, including AP/AR and invoicing, ensuring integrity, accuracy and timeliness
* Oversee the preparation of reports, correspondence, and business documentation to ensure quality and consistency
* Maintain and strengthen relationships with clients, suppliers, and external stakeholders
* Support the business in maintaining strong, sustainable client relationships and service delivery standards
* Actively contribute to and demonstrate visible leadership across all areas of the business
* Ensure administration, finance, and HR teams are appropriately resourced, structured, and supported to meet operational demands
* Oversee the coordination, integrity, and continuous improvement of documentation, records, and internal systems
* Lead, mentor, and develop team members, building capability and fostering a high‐performance culture
* Assess risks associated with new initiatives and ensure effective planning and delivery within required timeframes
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across systems, processes, and team performance to support business growth
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in office management, administration, or high level operations
* Accounting or bookkeeping experience/qualifications (preferred but not essential)
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‐paced environment
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A proactive and solution‐focused mindset
* Experience with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or similar
* Confident using Microsoft Office and business systems
* Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
* Someone dependable who takes pride in their work
* Experience within civil construction, mining, or contracting environments
