At Uniting, we are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will provide care and companionship for older people living in their own homes in the Lismore area.
The role involves helping clients with daily tasks such as housekeeping, grocery shopping, meal preparation, personal hygiene, toileting, showering, dressing, and assisting with medication administration. You will also transport clients to appointments or shopping trips and accompany them on outings.
In addition to these tasks, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and providing support to clients who require it. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of older people in your community.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent qualification. You will also require experience in client-centred care, a current First Aid certificate, and a driver's licence with access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:
* Help at home: housekeeping, grocery shopping, meal preparation
* Personal Care: personal hygiene, toileting, showering, dressing, help at mealtime or medication administration
* Transport: appointments or shopping trips
* Social and wellbeing: accompany clients on outings or assist with Healthy Living for Seniors activities
Requirements:
* Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual equivalent an advantage
* Similar experience providing client centred care
* Current First Aid certificate
* Driver's licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
