At Climatic Geelong, we are a well-established HVAC and mechanical services business based in Geelong, delivering high-quality residential installation and service projects. As part of our next phase of growth, we are developing a dedicated commercial division and are seeking a technically strong, licensed, and motivated leader to take ownership of this journey.
This role is ideal for a qualified and commercially experienced HVAC professional who is ready to step into a senior leadership position, take full responsibility for project delivery and compliance, and grow into a long-term key figure within the business.
We are also open to a younger, high-potential candidate who has the right licences, commercial exposure, and leadership mindset, and who is excited by the opportunity to build something and grow with it over time.
The Role
· Lead commercial HVAC projects from design coordination through commissioning and handover
· Act as the main technical and compliance contact for mechanical services
· Lead small project teams, subcontractors, and day‐to‐day site activities
· Coordinate all HVAC commissioning, testing and project documentation
· Oversee quality, safety, and compliance requirements across projects
· Support commercial tenders by reviewing scopes, pricing, and project risks
· Build strong working relationships with builders, consultants, and clients
· Help develop systems and processes as the commercial division grows
· Mentor technicians and support the development of aspiring leaders
· Provide guidance across commercial work, including quoting, design standards, and troubleshooting
Required Skills, Qualifications & Licensing
· Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience
· Experience in a leadership or supervisory role
· Demonstrated experience delivering commercial HVAC systems
· Licensed Plumbing Practitioner (VBA) with relevant HVAC accreditations
· ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence
· Good understanding of NCC building code, Australian Standards and relevant compliance
· Gas fitting Type A and/or Type B license (not essential)
