The roles
Medical receptionists are responsible for guiding patients through the administrative and financial aspects associated with commencement and continuation as a patient at Tas IVF. The Medical receptionist provides a professional, welcoming, organised and compassionate approach to patient interaction.
The role requires compassion and sensitivity to the needs of our patients undergoing fertility treatments. We believe your strong customer service skills will contribute significantly to the provision of the world class care we deliver.
Medical Receptionist Responsibilities:
* Providing a professional service, meeting and greeting patients
* Managing all incoming patient and other stakeholder phone calls, emails, and faxes
* Registering clients in our patient database and booking of clinic appointments as required
* Effective liaison with other departments within TasIVF, fertility specialists and medical secretaries.
* Maintain front waiting area
* Accepting and dispatching deliveries / courier services
* Managing incoming and outgoing mail
* Processing patient accounts including Medicare billing
* Debt Recovery
* Other administration duties as required
Key Skills:
* Patient services/medical receptionist experience desirable
* Attention to detail
* Integrity and a 'can do' approach
* Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality
* Medicare and patient billing experience
* Demonstrated experience in exceptional customer service
* A high level of computer literacy – oral and written communication skills
* You understand and share the feelings of others, offering support and compassion to our patients
Qualifications:
* Year 12 or equivalent
